Come and join us as a Front End Software Engineer as we continue our Digital Transformation ensuring we become the digital leader in plumbing, heating, and sustainable heating solutions.

The Role:

As our Front End Software Engineer, you will be comfortable in a 70/30 split between Front End and BE/Middleware development. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to the technical roadmap, and play a key role in delivering cutting-edge software products.

The Software Engineer will be part of our growing Software Development team to evolve the way we interact and engage with our customers online.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, code, and test software applications according to specifications and established coding standards. Ensure the software meets quality standards and complies with best practices for scalability, performance, and security.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional software solutions.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and quality assurance, to ensure the successful delivery of software projects.
• Write comprehensive unit tests and conduct thorough testing to ensure software quality and reliability. Collaborate with quality assurance engineers to develop and execute test plans and strategies.
• Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, API documentation, and user guides.
• Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

Skills and competencies

• Must have previous experience in Software Engineering, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Strong attention to detail, proficient in analytical thinking and problem-solving.
• Able to communicate with all levels of stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of software development methodologies, algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
• Experience with web or mobile application development and related frameworks.
• Proficient in one or more programming languages - Java, C++, UniVerse, Python, or JavaScript.
