Come and join us as a people focused Regional People Partner and be part of a hugely successful and friendly People services team.

The Role:

We're thrilled to announce a new opportunity within The Highbourne Group's Regional People team! As our team grows and evolves, we're looking for talented individuals to join us.  Due to an expected maternity, we are hiring cover from October. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has the ability to challenge senior leaders to think differently about people strategy, balance the objectives of your operational stakeholders and people work streams. As well as influence the thought processes of our management teams, supporting people centric activities that create opportunities for us to provide a great colleague experience.

Your role as Regional People Partner will be to create commercial value in the regional leadership, branch operations and regional sales teams through partnering and coaching expertise in topics such as change management, performance excellence, engagement, D&I, wellbeing, and talent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop an effective coaching partnership with leaders to enable them to deliver their goals and accelerate the performance growth of their teams, developing their own leadership capability along the way.
  • Create people plans with key stakeholder areas to focus and deliver people activity requirements in topics that will add the most value.
  • Build a map of talent to support career development, performance support requirements, and external recruitment needs.
  • Act as a critical friend with the operational and sales leadership teams to help them deeply explore both their people and their own functional strategies to ensure activity is focused towards key outcomes.
  • Provide ideas and challenge, acting as a catalyst for change, and as an expert for implementing and embedding that change when it comes, using the Business Behaviours as key underpins.
  • Grow deep relationships into the wider People & Culture function to have the necessary MI needed to influence your business area, whilst providing constructive feedback to the central P&C teams to ensure the People Experience is excellent.
  • Develop an understanding in your business area of why diversity & inclusion are valuable for business growth and creating a high performance culture, offering challenge and support to build a culture of belonging and leaders who cast an inclusive shadow.
  • Measure and evaluate key metrics at the right time to influence people strategy.
  • You will be expected to travel to branches within your region as and when required, typically 2-3 days per week.

You:

You’ll live and breathe our Customer First ethos, with an innovative and agile approach to problem solving.  You’ll enjoy working collaboratively with the wider People team and you’ll be committed to acting with integrity and honesty in everything you do.

Skills and competencies

  • Previous multi-site responsibilities, coming from either; retail, hospitality, or merchants.
  • Experience in a matrix organisation
  • Leading delivery of people projects with significant change and high cost implications.
  • Experience in a delivery-focussed operational environment.
  • Analysis of data to deliver business insight.
  • Driving appropriate outcomes in challenging/high priority ER cases.
  • Bags of drive and energy to be able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
