Are you a highly motivated and experienced Estimating professional looking for a leadership role? Commercial at City Plumbing is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Estimating Supervisor.

The role:

As the Estimating Supervisor for Commercial, you will be the driving force behind the success and efficiency of our estimating function.  If you have a passion for mentoring, driving process improvements, and ensuring exceptional accuracy in large-scale commercial projects, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily activities, setting clear performance expectations, conducting regular one-to-ones, and managing team workload to meet stringent deadlines.
• Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and technical training to develop the team's expertise in commercial sector estimating.
• Develop and continuously improve estimating processes, templates, and best practices to enhance overall efficiency, consistency, and accuracy across all commercial quotations.
• Efficiently allocate tasks and resources, skillfully balancing competing priorities and deadlines to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality quotations for complex commercial projects.
• Act as the key point of contact for commercial sales, operations, and procurement teams regarding estimating matters.

You:

We are going through a period of growth, which means you will need to lead and motivate your team. You will ideally be a product guru with commercial products and be the go-to for the rest of the business to lean on for support. You will have proven experience in the world of commercial tendering and get a buzz from every quote won!

Skills and competencies:

• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Proficient in preparing comprehensive and competitive tenders for large-scale contracts, including detailed cost breakdowns and value engineering.
• Proven ability to effectively lead, motivate, train, and develop technical estimating staff, fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous professional growth. 
• Proven ability to effectively engage stakeholders. Excellent at establishing and nurturing professional relationships with both internal and external parties.

It is highly likely you will have an interest in working in any of the following roles and/or markets: Buying, Category, Commercial, Construction, Contract Administrator, Contracts, Customer Service, Estimating, FMCG, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Negotiation, Plumbing & Heating, Procurement, Procurement, Retail.
